Faith Statement

What We Believe

While no grouping of words can fully express all that may be said relative to our faith and convictions, this brief Statement of Faith sets forth a summary of major areas of what we believe.

We Believe the Holy Bible, Old and New Testament, is God's word Personally spoken by God for the purpose of revealing who He is to mankind and that His word is without error in all issues to which it speaks.

We Believe that God is the creator of the universe both of the seen and unseen realms and that God the creator is also the giver of life.

We Believe there is only one living and true God eternally existing in three persons, of one substance, power and eternity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The Father is of none, neither begotten, or preceding; the Son is eternally begotten of the Father; the Holy Spirit eternally preceding from the Father and the Son.

We Believe in God the Father, creator and sustainer of everything. He has been working since the beginning of time, calling everyone to Himself.

We Believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, who lived a sin free life and taught us how to live. Jesus willingly ended his life on earth Himself for our sin, dying upon a cross. We also believe in his bodily resurrection three days later, in which He conquered death for every one who calls upon His name in faith. He is the center of worship and praise for His compassion, love, and grace.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, who was sent to draw everyone to God and to empower believers with spiritual gifts. We are also empowered by the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life on the earth. He translates for us as we call out to God, knowing our heart's desire.

We Believe we are all sinners, who can only be saved by God's grace. We all make mistakes and sin, but we believe that Jesus Christ is there for us, that He will forgive us, and that He will receive us back as we call out to Him, asking Him for forgiveness. When we do this, we are saved from our sin and have the promise of life after death, eternal life with God in heaven and a hope filled life as we live on the earth.

We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. We further believe His power and gifts are available to believers today.

We Believe that all true believers are united to Jesus Christ their head, by His Spirit, and by faith, have fellowship with Him in His graces, sufferings, death, resurrection and glory; and being united to one another in love, they have communion in each other's gifts and graces.

We Believe in the blessed hope: the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ; and that there will be a final judgment; and in the bodily resurrection of the dead, both the just and unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost.
