The school, founded in 1995, is a ministry of Grace Community Church, located in Vandergrift, PA in the heart of the Alle-Kiski Valley region east of Pittsburgh, PA.

AKSB Certificate AKSBS now offers 4 certificates: the Certificate of Biblical Studies, the Certificate of New Testament Studies One, the Certificate of New Testament Studies Two, and the Certificate of New Testament Studies Three, which are presented to registered applicants at the completion of the prescribed course of study. Click on sample for enlargement. (See courses below.)

These courses are laid out in a sequence for completion of a certificate. The sequences are suggested for two reasons: 1) Each course builds on previous knowledge of the Bible and Bible tools which will help students in their study, and 2) the courses from the third and fourth certificate are all in the order in which those particular books of the Bible were written.

However, students may also take any course below in any certificate at any time. Completion of any courses will still apply towards the certificate that they are offered under. However, we do ask that you fill out the free enrollment application below before you begin work on the courses.

The last five courses are essentially taken from God's Word using various translations. The Life of Christ series combine the four gospels into one chronological narrative of the life of Christ. AKSBS Mission Statement

Believing that all Scripture is inspired by God, we seek to build up the Body of Christ by equipping believers with the Word, that they may gain a greater understanding of the Lord which will help them to fulfill His call on their lives. Through an instructional format designed to communicate Christ to this generation, we will teach the Word of God.

Guiding Principles

This certificate-based education program is progressive and is designed to equip believers and help them gain a greater understanding of God's Word and teach a Biblical way of thinking about the world, the church and the lost. As a result, we will no longer be children tossed to and fro and with renewed minds we can rightly divide the word of truth, therefore building up the Body of Christ.

It is important to present the Word of God through an easy-to-understand teaching format that communicates Christ to this generation. Using varied teaching methods, instructors create an atmosphere of learning in the classroom that draws, invites and motivates students to become not only hearers of the Word but doers.

Having prepared a foundation of sound educational techniques, we will give believers tools for studying the Bible that will encourage a desire in them to become life-long students of the Word of God.
