Missions / Elder

Lara Laero, is a Missionary, Kids' Community Bible Club Director, and a transplanted Southerner, our Missions Elder first came to Grace Community Church (GCC) in 1984 as a summer missionary, after serving as a missionary one summer with Mexican migrant children in Nevada and one summer in Massachusetts. The following year, she completed a B.S. in Elementary Education and Spanish at a Carson Newman College, Tenessee. Lara has served as a Youth Minister for more than 10 years at Grace Community Church. Lara operates the church's Kid's Community Bible Clubs ministry, and directs the children's church on Sunday mornings which can be viewed at the Kiski valley Inspired website. This ministry infuses an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation for the children, but also passionately gives a great depth of tenderness that gets through to kids.
