Visiting is EasyHumble, Kind and Gentle People

A church is not a building. A church is people. The people of Grace Community Church are just like you. They are your hometown neighbors; schoolteachers, store clerks, factory workers, nurses, software programmers, business owners, secretaries, college and high school students and a lot of happy little children. Our church community consists of about sixty people, from newborns to seniors, all in different stages in their journey of faith.  We are a small hometown church that impacts our local communities and the world in some very exciting ways. Most importantly, Grace Community Church people are humble, kind and gentle. They are some of the most welcoming and friendly people you will ever meet. They will be excited to have you visit and immediately greet you and accept you just as you are. You will never need to fear being judged or looked down on at Grace Community Church. Everyone here knows just what the Bible means when it says, "all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God." We are all the same in God's eyes. So please come and be comfortable with people just like you who only seek more of the God who loves us as His own children.

What to wear. What to bring.

What to wear. What to bring.Dress is casual. Most of the men wear casual slacks or jeans. The women generally wear casual slacks, casual dresses or jeans. You will notice that the musicians, who must be on stage during the service, are required to dress a bit more formally. And Pastors are required to dress a bit more formally than the musicians. Please wear what makes you comfortable and relaxed. If sandals and jeans are your thing then wear them. Come as you are.

If you own a Bible please feel free to bring it along. If not, it's not a problem. All of the Bible verses used during sermon messages are projected overhead to the theater screen. You don't need to bring much more than a warm handshake and a desire to know God. (Oh yeah - a love of snacks helps too. Refreshments are served after the service. :-)

A Warm, Comfortable Facility

A Warm, Comfortable FacilityWe are centrally located to the communities of the Kiski Valley region in historic Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. Church services are conducted in a fully restored and technologically modernized Victorian-trimmed early 20th-century facility located on Emerson Street in the Vandergrift Heights section of town.  Don't let the antique gingerbread exterior of the building fool you. The church is actually a cutting-edge multimedia facility complete with theater seating, lighting, sound and projection capabilities. Parking is available on the street or directly to the rear of the facility. There are entrances in the front and back of the building. Both entrances lead to the entry foyer. As you enter the facility, a friendly greeter will make you feel right at home and give you a program of the day's service to help you follow along.  Entering the main auditorium you will notice the unique design of the facility mixing high-tech capabilities with old-world charm to lend a warm, comfortable feeling to your visit.  Please take a seat anywhere or feel free to walk around and fellowship before the service.

Sunday Service
Worship time at the Sunday Service.

If you wish to break-the-ice prior to your visit please call us or drop us an email, tell us a bit about yourself and ask any questions you might have. After that initial contact, a friendly church member will arrange to meet you at the front doors on the day of your visit to walk with you into the service, introduce you around, and even stay right with you if you wish. It would be our honor. If you need a ride please let us know. Transportation will be provided.

No Pressures

Please feel free to stay as long as you like or leave as early as you wish. At Grace Community Church visitors are never pressured to participate more than they wish, never embarrassed by being forced to sit in the front rows or by being introduced publicly, and you will never be expected to stay longer than you wish. We respect your freedom to participate in the service, or not, and to come and go as you please. We hope every visitor would remain to become a member, but we appreciate that no church is a perfect fit for everyone. God created you to live free. Please do not hesitate to exercise your freedom at Grace Community Church, either by staying or departing to visit another of our community's churches. We consider all of our local Kiski Valley churches to be our brothers and sisters in Christ. We hope above all that you find a home in one of God's local churches, and that you will count us as your friends in Jesus Christ no matter where you attend.

We sincerely look forward to seeing you this week.
